Presenters

Kerry Rogers
Kerry has a long standing involvement with preschool programs both as a hands on teacher, trainer and consultant specialising in outdoor play and environments. Her teaching experiences have included semi-rural, metropolitan and inner urban areas as well as in the demonstration program at the Gowrie Melbourne. She has been responsible for coordinating both federally and state funded in-service training programs as well as in presenting training sessions and keynote addresses at many conferences. Kerry has also been involved in the training, assessment and mentoring of students from a range of tertiary training institutions.

Pattie Morgan
Patty’s history and expertise in early education for children is a long one! Starting as an Infant Teacher from NSW, and then retraining at the Institute of Early Childhood Development. Her work includes sessional preschool teaching, piloting the mobile preschool program in socially isolated communities, working as a preschool field officer after completing her Graduate Diploma in Special Education (Early Childhood), then back to grass roots to work in sessional preschool programs again, mentoring both teachers and pre-service teachers. Her extra curricula activities include assisting in developing good professional practice, culminating in a Knox wide Philosophy of Education, presenting workshops for teachers and long day care educators in outdoor programming and preparing a poster presentation on "Outdoor play spaces that enhance the social and emotional development of children with Additional Needs”. Patty is currently a consultant in outdoor programming and play space design, and training with Play Australia a member of the Play Australia Board.
