Playspace development: design, management, maintenance
Play Australia is offering its very popular two-day training program in 2015 to enable quality advice and support to be accessible to everyone responsible for playspace development. This program will deliver the information required to meet the increasing concerns regarding the safety of children and young people in playgrounds and playspaces whilst strongly supporting the on-going development of exciting and challenging experiences for all children.
Day 1 – Playspace design and development
Participants will receive an introduction to the value of play and the key elements of designing for outdoor play. This will provide increased knowledge and commitment to the importance of safety for children and young people in the use of playgrounds and play equipment.
Day 2- Management and Maintenance
Day 2 will provide details of the new Standard and key details of all other Standards pertinent to playspace management. The program will provide the knowledge required to enable people responsible for the management and operation of playgrounds to carry out their responsibilities appropriately.

Details
Presenters will include people with leading expertise from across Australia. A range of training methods will be utilised to ensure that the program meets the needs of all participants. Presentations and on site case studies will be included. Lunch and morning tea will be provided (please advise in advance of any dietary requirements). All participants will receive training resources for on-going support.
