Only 3 weeks to go!

Discover how to embed play into city planning with

Dr Play

We’re just 3 weeks out from the IPA Asia Pacific Play Conference and tickets are selling fast!

If you haven’t secured your spot yet, now is the time. This is the first event of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, bringing together global thought leaders, researchers, and practitioners to challenge how we think about play in our cities, communities, and policies.

One of the most exciting voices joining us is Dr Damien Puddle, affectionately known as Dr Play.

How Many Play Opportunities Did Your City Kill Today?

Dr Damien Puddle – Researcher, Advocate, and ‘Dr Play’

What if play wasn’t an afterthought, but embedded into every aspect of how we plan and design our cities?

In this energising and practical session, Dr Damien Puddle will introduce his innovative multidisciplinary approach to putting play at the centre of city planning and design. Drawing from his work across urban strategy, design guides, and technical regulations, Damien asks us to consider how many opportunities for play are unintentionally “designed out” of our public spaces.

You'll explore how play can be integrated across timelines, sectors, and professional disciplines, from district plans and local government policy to on-the-ground design and delivery.

This session is for anyone working in or alongside local government, planning, urban design, or community development who wants to think more expansively about the role of play in shaping healthy, vibrant cities.

This is just one of the many powerful sessions happening at the

IPA Asia Pacific Play Conference,

25–27 June in Melbourne.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this game-changing event!
