Dear ,To all Play Australia members in TasmaniaYou are invited to the first meeting of Play Australia members in Tasmania. When: Friday 16 July 2021 Time: 10.00am – 12.30pm Where: Rosny Library, City of Clarence, 46 Bligh Street Rosny, Tasmania 7018 As a Play Australia member, you will know that Play Australia is the national peak play organisation, having grown significantly over recent years, whilst having worked in the interests of children's play since 1915, responding to changing needs within the many industry sectors involved in children’s play. Play Australia is currently involved in many signiciant play projects across Australia which we are keen to share with you, as well as to bring to your attention our new Playground Standards recently published which will have significant impact on Local Government, designers and services in Tasmania. We are hoping to support the establishment of a Play Australia Branch in Tasmania, to be run by Tasmanians, for Tasmanians. The purpose of this meeting is to begin the process of connecting members, to discuss how best to support play in Tasmania and grow resources for play across the state. I am also delighted to tell you that Bill Pegus of Hercules Playgound Auditing in Tasmania has joined the Board of Play Australia . Many thanks to Sally Taylor of the Clarence City Council for her assistance in facilitating this meeting.
