AILA is excited to announce a new national competition, Australia’s Best Playground, which recognizes and celebrates well designed public playspaces, and the landscape architects who are committed to designing and creating a better Australia.AILA Registered, Applicants and Graduate members are invited to submit finished playspace projects, ranging from adventure playgrounds to cross fit circuits to waterplay to senior fitness courses. Selected by People’s Choice and an expert jury, the winning entrant will receive an all-expenses trip to the home of Lappset, Rovaniemi in Finland, courtesy of AILA’s Principal Corporate Partner, Lappset Australia.Enter: nominate a playspace that you have designed – this must be a built project. Complete the submission form and send us 5 photos of the playspace and 500 words about the project, which addresses the judging criteria. It’s free to submit.Share: after submissions have closed, you’ll receive a unique entry webpage to promote your project to encourage your networks to vote. The top 5 entries per region with the most public votes will progress to the next round.Win: a winner from each region (the 3 regions are WA/NT/SA/QLD, NSW/ACT and VIC/TAS) will be selected by our jury of experts, who will win a free ticket to the 2016 International Festival of Landscape Architecture.
