Children with disability, just like any other child, need opportunities to play with others, be physically active, learn, grow, connect and have fun. When playspaces are designed to be inclusive, it means everyone, no matter their ability, age, cultural or social background, can play together side-by-side.(Inclusive SA)

Grant Humphries is the Director of Playtest and Test Institute. Grant will discuss AS4422 Impact Testing and its relationship to AS4685 Standards.

He will explain the Critical Fall Height (CFH) and how it relates to the Free Height of Fall (FHOF) of the equipment. The new test method of a single drop to the measured fall Height test (hm = FHOF + 10%), will also be discussed.

Our official launch of the 1000 Play Streets movement to Australian Local Governments – empowering Australians to reclaim their quiet residential streets as places to connect and play. Play Australia and Latrobe University will share insights from our national pilots with Local Governments and communities across WA, SA, QLD and VIC.

We will also share new resources for Australian Local Governments – including our FREE national toolkit to provide guidance to policy makers who are seeking to open quiet residential streets for play. This movement has been inspired by our Global Neighbours at Playing Out, UK.

Speakers include Gavin Fairbrother , Project Manager, Play Australia and Erica Randle , Research Fellow – Centre for Sport & Social Impact, Latrobe University.
