The International Play Association (IPA) in Aotearoa NZ have launched an amazing new video, promoting Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  

This beautiful footage, narrated by children, demonstrates very clearly the important message that every child has the right to play. Watch and marvel!

Play Wales has launched an updated Tool Kit - Developing and managing play spaces, for anyone who takes responsibility for managing or developing a play space in a community.

‘A rich play environment is one which is flexible, adaptable, varied and interesting. It is a trusted public space where children feel free to play in their own way, in their own time, on their own terms.’

Professor Fiona Stanley AC and Dr Kate Lycett are asking a pertinent question, "Should we return to the way life was before COVID-19?". 

In this summary of their recent article, Prof Stanley and Dr Lycett suggest that before COVID-19, Australian adults were more concerned about material wealth than the needs of children. Whereas post-pandemic, we must learn from our experiences and reimagine a world that puts 'civil society ahead of profits' so that both children and society thrive.
