Disability, Sport and Recreation (DSR) have released a new campaign #ItsNotTooLateToVaccinate.

Repeatedly, statistics show that people under the age of 30 are not getting the third dose of their COVID-19 vaccination. DSR's new campaign focuses on the journey that three athletes with disability have taken in deciding to be vaccinated, noting this is different for everyone.  

To create impact, we need to focus on how we actually put people first, we need to change our thinking, change the way we plan, build and operate programs, facilities and environments.

This year’s National Sports & Physical Activity Convention (NSC22) will focus significantly on different approaches to creating environments that can encourage greater participation.

Sport NZ has published a study into the impact of COVID-19 which shows the pandemic has severely affected participation in physical activity across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Maintenance Requirements for Early Years Outdoor Play Areas

New date released - due to the demand another session has now been added for Wednesday 22 JUNE 2022.

This one-day program will focus on the risk management requirements and Australian Standards for the management and maintenance of outdoor playspaces in supervised early learning services in Australia.

Play Australia is offering its very popular two-day face-to-face Playspace Development Training program again in 2022.

Delivered in Templestowe, Victoria, this extensive training enables participants to access and understand both best practice and current Playground Standards applicable to the management, development, design and maintenance of playspaces throughout Australia today.

All participants will receive level 1 & 2 certification.

Play Australia membership provides support for all different sectors and industry who are part of the PLAY network. 

From Landscape Architects, Early Childhood Educators, play equipment Manufacturers, Local Government playspace teams, students, or just someone who cares about children's health and wellbeing,  Play Australia membership has something for everyone.
