Outdoor Play & Space Design Workshops.

Free for Early Childhood Services

Sponsored by the Victorian Department of Education  |  Delivered by Play Australia

Discover the power of outdoor play and build your confidence in designing spaces where children can thrive.

This FREE, 5 hour workshop brings together staff and management from early childhood services for a hands-on opportunity for learning and exploration on designing and maintaining outdoor play spaces.

What You’ll Cover

Across the session, you’ll dive into how outdoor play supports children’s development, and gain practical knowledge in planning and managing outdoor play spaces — covering:

•   Design principles for quality outdoor environments

•   Playwork design elements to support conditions for play

•   Playground standards and compliance

•   A risk management lens to support informed decision-making including maintenance     inspections.

Bring Your Space

Got plans for your outdoor area? Bring a map or plan of your service’s outdoor space and receive personalised, practical advice from a professional play space designer on the day. A great chance to get expert eyes on your space and walk away with real ideas you can act on. A practical exercise will be undertaken in options for improving your own outdoor play space.

Sessions.

Sessions can be delivered as a full day (9.30am–2.30pm) or evening format (4pm–8:30pm, dinner included) to suit your team. If you have a venue to offer or are interested in hosting an in-house session, we’d love to hear from you.  Email  us   info@playaustralia.org.au

We are delivering in the week of the 16 June and have vacancies available.
