Playwork Foundation Practitioner Course (Sydney)

The Play Australia Playwork Practice (Foundatiion) course is certified by Play Australia.   

The course is designed for people currently working with children or young people.  

All sections of the course and assessment must be completed to receive the certificate. 

The course is broken up into different components including 3 x webinars, approx 3 hours online preparation, 2-day practice workshop and assessments. 

Webinar dates:

Orientation: Thursday 29th January 

Session 1: Thursday 19th February

Session 2: Thursday 26th March 

Workshop Dates - Sydney

Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th April

All workshops are run from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Participatns must attend for the full session. To maximise learning and engagement there is a limit of 15 people per workshop.

All sessions of the course and assessment must be completed to receive the certificate and badge.

Prerequisites

• Currency – must has at least 2 years’ experience working face to face with children or young people in last 12 months. 
• Will be able to actively apply the learnings to a school, children’s service, or Youth program and have the support of your management. 
• Current working with children clearance 
• Current child protection training (desirable)

$984.50 members  (Payment option $484.50 deposit (balance of $500 payable before the course starts) 

$1524.40 non-members

*****Members may apply for a $250 travel subsidy to support travel costs where there is no session being conducted in their State or Territory.  Limit of 3 travel subsidies per workshop location.  Please contact info@playaustralia.org.au before booking to arrange approval of this subsidy.
