A Project designed with young people for young people aged 6-16. Young people take the lead they are the artists in the ultimate pop up junkyard playground. Taking inspiration from Emdrup the worlds first known planned adventure playground, young artists will be using recycled timbers, old tyres, ropes, buckets and whatever else we can get our hands on. Over two days our young artists will work together to build their own space. An adult free zone (except for our facilitators ) the building site is all theirs. At 2.30pm on the Sunday all tools will be laid down and parents, friends and local community members will be invited from 3.30pm onwards to tour the site. Adults must follow all rules and directions as given by our young artists.THIS IS A FREE EVENT FOR ALL YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 6-16For those under 6 and parents there is a lovely picnic area to the side of the site where you are welcome to sit, relax or even watch as the village comes alive. We may even have a few suprise entertainers popping in on the day.
